Nice weather in December, you can’t pass up the opportunity to get outside and do something. Alexis, John Lee, and I drove up to pilot after a nice and slow start to the day. The Sun was shining and temps were rising, so we had a nice day ahead of us.
We climbed some the longer and moderate routes at the start, and didn’t really see anyone where we were. Alexis got some nice photos of my butt, my farting out an airplane, and some sexy shots. Finishing everything off there, we walked down to the Amphitheater and it was packed. We knew some people there as well. John and I climbed a really fun 5.10 with neat roof traverse at the end. All while being mindful of a sleeping baby next to us.
We put Alexis on s great arête climb, which offered some nice exposure with good holds. It was a good climb for her to get her outside climbing legs back. We finished up the quick day with some site seeing at the top and drove back down south again.
