In the heat of summer we got a adventure with a little bit of a national park feel. There is a little state park tuck up in the Appalachians between Kentucky and Virginia called the Breaks Interstate Park. It calls itself the grand canyon of the south.

In the month of February, I made more trips to tumbling bald that the past 3 years. It started with the CCC competion.
This would be the last weekend of the year for me climbing. One last weekend at the vice-house.
Finally, I was able to dedicate myself to getting out to WV and the New River Gorge for several consecutive weekends in a row. The ending results were a lot of fun with friends and “climbing associates”, sending of many new routes, and even putting up a couple hard ones for myself.

Tim and I needed to pick a fun endurance challenge for this year and neither of us had done the crusher, nor did we know anyone else that had.
Things worked out with the cosmic alignments of personal schedules, the peregrine falcons had adjusted their nesting preferences, and weather systems seemed stable for once.

1st solo rock trip in a while was to meet up with Joe V. out in Vegas for a desert crush-fest. Well what end up at the end of the trip was definitely some crushings. Joe had a business trip out there for the prior week and we were going to roll this in a red rocks trip. I flew in on a Friday morning and was immdediately fed some in/out burger.
