Town of Philadelphia

Philadelphia

Another road trip to drop Alexis off at work, led me up to Philadelphia. My first visit to the the city of brotherly love.

We stopped by Conshohocken for the night and Alexis met her old roommates from her days in Philadelphia. After having a spicy dinner, we had some beers at the local boat bar. Then next day, Alexis had a stomach attack the made her unable to move. We spent the day watching seeing if it got worse. Ended up going to the emergency room thinking it was an appendicitis attack.

After sonograms and more test, they determined it wasn’t and gave her some anti-acid/pain pills. Around midnight we went to the hotel at Valley Forge Casino to sleep. The next morning we gamble with some free money from the stay, and we both ended up winning cash at the slots.

We swung by Valley Forge National Monument.  Saw the battlefields and George Washington’s quarters.

At night, we went into the city to see the sights. The trip into town included stopping by the Liberty Bell, museum with the rocky statue, hipster south street and cheese-steaks. (To be honest, I didn’t really care for them here, ekkkkk.)

At night checked into her work hotel, she has a week of work in Philly, and I drove onwards to Crabtree the next day.
