Hot and Tasty
Pueblo is home to the famous green chiles. Not many people outside Colorado know of this tasty chile pepper, but it’s hot and delicious.
I rode down with Paul,Kendra, terry and bobby to pueblo to see the cooking of the chiles first hand.
The standard fair seemed to be that the green are roasted in giant steel drums with propane torches. Then sprayed with water. Then skin is then peeled and ready for eating.
Standing next to the roasted your eyes would tingle and lungs would choke. It was a blast. One of the most popular quick eats the were serve was a chile pepper stuff with cheese and then wrap in a tortilla. I ended buying a couple cups of the chiles and made my own special Chile Verde.
