Crabtree Fireworks
In the middle of July, the annual family reunion took place back on the farm. Everyone converges for the Crabtree Fireworks. I flew into Charlotte and drove back up to Crabtree with Alexis. Before heading back, I went to a standard trivia night at the FOX and HOUND. I also lived and enjoyed the trophy lifestyle and hung out with cougars at the pool during the day.
On the drive up to PA, we stopped by Summersville and scoped some of the climbing and swimming that they have to offer. It was hot and muggy, but we helped a lost West Virginian out of the woods. Also, on the drive back, we passed lots of trucks hauling generators.
The next day was Crabtree Fireworks and we all had a good time. I gave Nathan his special birthday presents (2 cans of alcoholic whipped cream and a set of personalized t-shirts). He was ecstatic with his gifts proudly let all his friend enjoy them as well. Also, there were some fun fireworks and activities. At 11pm everyone rounded up and headed back to the top of the hill to watch the main event of the fireworks. We all took tractors, wagons, ATVs, and cars back to the top of the hill.
The next day we went downtown to Crabtree and watched the bombs go off. A big string of fireworks attached to a crane and aerial salutes kept us entertained, while the ATV’s rounded up at Carbones. It was hot and sunny out, the perfect conditions after a night of festivities.
The next day, I participated in a some fun activities with Nathan and Bryanna. We went down to Dunbar for some climbing and swimming. I practiced some of my suspended photography and everyone did some fun stunts.
Don’t get used to the trophy lifestyle.
