Easter Time
I made it home for Easter this year and arrived back home on Thursday night. Mom and Dad picked me up at the airport after they sat and people watched for 4-5 hrs.
The next day I got to play PennDOT and did some tree removal from the lane with Dad. This consisted of me standing on the top of the truck with a chainsaw and swinging away at limbs. This also just happened to be the rainiest day of the weekend. At night, Alexis showed up and she got to experience Dave Fallows fish-fry. The who’s who of people were in attendance. All were partaking of PA beers and crappy fillets. The night then closed at one of Gbg classy establishments.
Saturday was a shopping day getting presents and materials for the Easter egg race. Dad ended up getting a new cart for his lawn mower and Mom subtly showed us jewelery she likes. (also, it is impossible to find model rocket engines now in stores.) I ordered a 30-cut Joio’s pizza. That night I worked on my floating hunting lodged while Alexis made a egg basket.
Sunday was Easter dinner and lots of good food was devoured. We did the candy hunt, and Tyler and I got to hide Nathan’s candy since the Easter bunny was busy. In spirit of Easter we place nathan’s treats in the barn next to the bull pen. One bag was hung above the bull, but he didn’t like it and decided to knock it down and trample it. Also some of the candy made it to the silo. I got some pics of the other candy hunts and Tyler had some nice run ins with bees and trees.
The egg race was muddy and it always comes down to if our egg gets stuck. My mom made a trophy for the winners of the finest materials. Madeline won the race, Tyler got safety award for his rocket egg, and I got the good sport award.
The night wound down with aggressive tether-ball, bottoming out the trampoline, feats of strength, and ultimate Frisbee (Jay had the best stunts of the night, with a clothesline recovery).
Monday, I worked around the house and finished all the pizza. My flight out of Pittsburgh was delayed from lightening and end up being stuck in Chicago over night.
