Travels and Vagabonds
Crabtree firework again, this time we brought a friend from Charlotte along as well. Nora joined us for the quick whirlwind weekend trip up to Crabtree. We peeled out of Charlotte late Friday and pull in around 1AM at night. The R-POD was setup and ready, so we fell right asleep.
A quick and highly needed trip back to Crabtree, PA, for the annual festival was planned and executed. We made the drive back late Friday night and pulled in around 1:30am as per the norm. Quick decisions and fast-driving were the name of the game to make the call to get to PA for Crabtree Fireworks. After throwing the cat in the back of the car Friday afternoon, we made it to PA around midnight. We drove by the Roadhouse, and thought we saw some recognizable vehicles, but I did not stop. Sadly, I missed out on a heavy night of whiskey drinking.
Excitement was in the air as we made our way up from the south to the hills of western pa. However, after leaving Charlotte Wednesday afternoon, we decided it would not be necessary to make the haul up in one push. So we stayed the night at the ACC campground at the New River.
Lightning and Lightning Bugs
Throughout the summer, many journeys and stops were made at home. Lots of different people joined at separate times to played around on the farm.
