The Maiden
In a rush for Ben and I to tick off as many of our early climbing goals in Colorado, I drove up to Boulder again to try a summit attempt of the Maiden, before a raptor closure to effect for the flatirons.

Sharkstooth
Early June, Ben and I climbed the Sharkstooth in RMNP. The day was going to be three man team, with us bivying at the start. However due to complications, it turned into Ben and I doing a solid one day push starting at 1 AM in Boulder.
Nathan high on the south gateway rock
Nathan, Tyler and Bobby (Nathan’s friend) were doing their cross-country road trip and were able to spend several days in Colorado. They spent the beginning of the week up in Boulder with all the nice weather while hanging out with Tattoo Artists in Sushi restaurants. They ended up getting to Colorado Springs on Friday just as the first bad weather of the year began in full force. Continue reading “Visitors to Colorado: Garden of the Gods Climbing”
On “Deeper Shade of Soul” at The Gym – 5.13b
The last Sunday in March, a trip was organized to head down to Shelf Rd and get on some harder stuff. Pascal and Mirthe had finally moved to the USA a couple weeks ago and they had some climbing projects in mind. I invited Tom from work, which also joined in the Sunday fun. We all started the day with a nice stop at the friendly “Canyon City Coffee Café” and the continued on to “The Bank” parking lot.
Super-Fun-Awesome-Pod-Climbing

It was less about being hardmen, than it was about having a blast on rock. Continue reading “Clear Creek and Der Zerkle Climbing”
Finally after a couple weeks off of rest due to my hurt ankle, I visited Ben, Garret and Bruce in Golden to introduce Garrett to Colorado climbing. Saturday ended up being a scorcher of a day. I made sure to get some rays while climbing.

Snowy 14er
Saturday 29th, I climbed Mount Bierstadt with Kyle Barnoff. This was a very late season, if not a winter attempt on a 14er. Not knowing that this was going to be the first 14er for Kyle, it turned out to be a memorable one none the less.
Little Colorado Trip
Alexis came to the Springs for Labor Day weekend so I had to entertain her for an entire FOUR days. Here’s a synopsis of what we did.
Mt Royal
Now the first Saturday back from my vacation at home, Eli and I met Ben in Frisco for some multipitch granite climbing. Our goal was to climb Mt Royal, which sits right above the bustling town of Frisco. We would be climbing the royal flush, which was awesomely put up by a word class climbers but for normal people.
