Quick weekend trip up to KY in November turn out to be quiet nice and warm. I tried out and rented a 100-400mm lens from canon to play with. We left from Charlotte on Friday and stay in Knoxville for the night.

4th of July Float and USWWC
Sam had a float trip down along the Catwaba River that I was invited too. I had lucky come into the temporary possession of a kayak from James at work. All before spending time at the USWWC
New River Gorger: Fern and the South side Crags
Last trip before Lasik Surgery, was to do some summer climbing up in the New River Gorge. This trip was complied with Sam and Jeff. We drove up late Friday evening in Sam’s truck. All 3 of us need to get a way for the weekend.

Looking Glass – Fall Climbing Southside
Fall was here and it’s time to go to the mountain and enjoy the crisp cold air of the season. Alexis decided to tag along with me on the weekend trip up to Brevard. We left Charlotte in the Blazer, this would be its first be road trip in a while.
Moores Wall – Cold North End
Cold day at Moores wall was experienced yet again. The cold north beckond and the tries at a hard route were given ago.
West Virginia – New River- Fern Buttress

New River Gorge was visited again but this time it would be a a focus on the sampling of the Fern Buttress and the Endless Wall. I drove up solo, having phone conversation with long lost friends who I begged to entertain me on my drive. I got to the a very pack and crowded ACC campground. It kind of a sad place to be now, after staying there back in the beginning when it was the wildwest. With a forgotten tent, I pulled the blazer into a open slot and sleep through the night. Linville – Shortoff Mashup – New Route
Tim agreed to a day of fun up at shortoff again. 2 items need crossed off the list. The long standing goal of climbing the Golden Rule, and get into the Tilt World. Quick departure from town got us up there pretty quick and the arrive at the trailed at 8:30AM.
