This weekend I went up to Looking Glass rock with Joe to perform some route maintenance to the Glass. We packed up all of the construction equipment the night before and got ready for a long day.
Travels and Vagabonds
This is combination of two weekends worth of random events and trips. Lets start off with the most important one, the stainless steel barrel hunt!
Over the past 10 weeks, I have been in involved with a training program at the local rock gym (cityrock). As my session starts to wind down, I thought I’d type up a little bit of my experience with the program. Back in early March, I was pretty low-average by normal climbing standards. Bouldering, my levels were around v2 and pushing v3 max after projecting. In the gym, I didn’t do much wall climbing, but I think I could scum my way up a 5.10b but be very tired at the end of one climb.
On the weekend, Jimmy and Paul wanted to go Mountain biking in the Canyon above Manitou. Since I was still out of commission, I volunteered to drive and take some pictures of the event. Snow and beers were involved. Afterwards, on the drive back I took some pictures of the area, and played with some of the functions of my camera (focusing, flare, and HDR photos). More pictures after the jump.
Welp, around February 6th, I had the unfortunate pleasure of breaking my collar bone (or clavicle). The whole weekend started out pleasant enough, but soon took a turn for the worse. I was riding Echo Mountain with my buddies Ben and Aaron. Ben suggest it was a good place to ride because it was kinda setup like a hybrid of Tussy and Big Bear (a couple runs and features all over the place). Ben was doing some work for “chill” as well, and it was only Aaron 3rd or 4th time riding a board.
Hi all,
Since everyone else is blogging now, I figured that I should give it a shot and jump on the scene train (yea, I know I’m always the last to board. The main focus of this WEB-LOG is to highlight my travels and experiences around Colorado, but that could definitely change as time goes on. Stay-tuned!
