Grandfather Mountain Hike
We shelled out the $40 and decided to cross off visiting the tourist section Grandfather Mountain. As we pulled in, we sadly noticed that we were missing the Scottish Clan Meeting next door. We drove up the winding road passing the Forrest Gump turn and parked in the hiking parking lot.

New River Gorge: Jeff and Katie Wedding, Bridge Tour
On Memorial Day Weekend we headed up to the New River Gorge to celebrate the marriage of Jeff and Katie. We also got a little bit of climbing in as well. The big surprise was the neat experience of walking underneath on the scaffolding of the bridge.

Asheville – Spring 2018
Armed with the timeshare sprinter, we took off to Ashville to re-familiarize ourself with the town. It had been about 4 years since we did a trip there. I kind of forgot what the city was actually like and why people like to go there.

Las Vegas: Red Rocks 2018
1st solo rock trip in a while was to meet up with Joe V. out in Vegas for a desert crush-fest. Well what end up at the end of the trip was definitely some crushings. Joe had a business trip out there for the prior week and we were going to roll this in a red rocks trip. I flew in on a Friday morning and was immdediately fed some in/out burger.

Rumbling Bouldering Comp 2018 – Van Testing
For the bouldering competition at Lake Lure, I was able to take out the new Graham Sprinter and take it for a camping test drive. KC was able to tag along for the weekend and we met up with Tim, who was working the safety crew. The competition was moved from Saturday to Sunday do to rain.
