Week long trip to the Quebec Region of Canada. The focus on exploring Quebec City and then enjoying some time in the hot tub of the lake country north of Toronto.
Day 1 – Thursday: the Airport and Drive to Quebec City
- Express parking
- Logan has lots of fun watching airpanes in the CLT airport
- Logan napped during the plane ride. (Hot and melted me)
- Go our car from “Route 53” rental car. Logan explored their renovating office space
- Quick stop with provision in the Montreal Costco (in the downtown gentrifying space)
- Delicious Costco meal of poutine, chicken fingers and pizza
- Then Alexis fought the bad traffic leaving Montreal. Lots of Canadians and traffic.
- We then had a long easy drive through the river plains to Quebec City
- We found the hotel “Le Captial” but they had hard to find valet parking
- During check-in, Logan’s got new girlfriends at the front desk. Many Blown Kisses and logan got a teddy bear
- We then walked through the gateway to the Chateau Frontenac
Day 2 – Friday: Exploring the Quebec City Area
- Breakfast at “la busso”
- Logan made table friend while we had a big lumber jack breakfast
- Walked a circle to lower town.
- Saw boats
- Front loader
- Saint Lawrences sea way
- Stop for refueling at old town with ice cream
- then took the stairs to the top.
- Back to the hotel for root top indoor p[ool time
- Dinner at Cochon Dingue
Day 3 – Saturday: Bus Tours and Pool Time
- Breakfast La Casse-Crepe Breton
- Then everyone got on the Big red bus tour at the Chateau Frontenac
- We found out that Logan likes bus rides, but then he passed out
- Later on we did a looping walk in rain around citadel and boardwalk (saw engagement)
- Then a busride to old town to walk again, crepes and churros
- We ended up doing the big list of stairs again
- We bought beaver art from a local artist
- Evening was spent getting souvenirs and “Paris tacos”
- Pools session with strangers at the top of hotel
Day 4 – Sunday: Fancy last explorations and drive to Resort
- We have fancy breakfast at hotel restaurant “I’ll treatre“
- Logan got fancy high chair
- we explored around the underground parts of the city, arking garage and tunnel walk.
- View point from citadel
- Chateau Frontenac inside walk again when downstairs and also snuck Logan in to conference rooms of Frontenac. We got “potatoe trays”
- Then pack up and leave hotel.
- Costco gas stop north side of St Lawerence river
- To Estelle resort, crossed many plains of Canada
- Stop at Tim Horton for Logan’s 1st donut
- Made it to resort after almost getting car sick
- Greeted by many geese
- After we checked in it was hot tub and pool time.
- We had a fancy dinner of elk and mushroom pasta
Day 5 – Monday: Geese Watching to Swimming Fun
- Logan was up at 6 am to watch geese and crows
- Then down to the breakfast buffet
- Pool time was the focus today
- Logan got to go in hot and cold tub
- Then we swam in the lake
- Steam sauna
- Midday – Drove to Tremblant
- We all took the Gondola ride to the top
- We went hiking to the top a Tower
- Before Leaving we got a Fanta, chocolate ice-cream, and watched construction vehicles
Day 6 – Tuesday: Sauna and back to the Airport
