Cleveland Arcade
While at home on holiday, there were several whirlwind adventures. A couple of them were planned and a couple were spare of the moment.
During the weekend after Christmas, Alexis got tickets with her cousins to go see the Steelers game in downtown Pittsburgh. This left me to tag along and experience the old PITT by myself. We got drinks and some food at a bar near the point and made our way across the Roberto Clemente Bridge. Here we separated as they went into the stadium, leaving me wander around from bar to bar. I made friends with some other people that were doing the same thing. I eventually found the subway system in Pittsburgh and took it underneath the Allegheny River. Then wandering even more I found several different pizza places that seem to be run by different types of mobs.
That night we drove and stay at Yuwan’s and Jonell’s place. They were nice enough to stay up and wait for us to arrive. In the morning, we had some great Jonell’s Special Oatmeal and Yuwan showed us their creek/waterfalls in the backyard.
Departing from Pittsburgh, we drove onward to Cleveland of all places. Neither myself nor Alexis had ever been, so what better time than a cold December to visit lovely Cleveland.
Cool things of Cleveland:
- The Westside market, awesome meats and pastries
- Xmas Story House
- All the arcades
- Downtown is actually pretty next to the lake.
- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
After spending the night at the Marriot Arcade in downtown, thanks to priceline. We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After listening to jams and some music history we made the drive back to PA, never to enter Ohio ever again.
