The mummy
Early May, Alexis and I met up with Matt, Aaron, and Kyle at the table rock parking lot. Early Saturday Morning we made our way across the old burn area of the Table rock fire to the Amphitheater entrance.
I wasn’t there before the burn, but I can only imagine that this was severely over grown. At the entrance Alexis setup show on top of the open book buttress. We made our way around the side and rapped down in to the Mummy and Daddy side of the amphitheater.
There was a group of 3 ahead of us, so we relaxed and let them head up the route. Aaron lead the 1st 2 pitches as 1 super pitch of 5.5. We then hung out on the huge mummy ledge. I took the last easy pitch up to the top. Very neat exposed climbing for being on the east coast.
We ended the day buy climbing White Lightning, before allergies decided to destroy me.
