We were graced with the awesome pleasure of entertaining Barnoff and Jason for a weekend. The activities of the weekend would be whitewater center fun, plus beer.
Strapped and charged with all types of media recording device, we drove the blazer to the Whitewater Center. Alexis started to feel alittle sick so sadly, she couldn’t raft , but she was now thrust the duty of action photographer. With us 3 men ready to raft, we talk to the head guide and asked not to be stuck with a wussy family ride. During raft assignment, the main guide put us in his boat with a 2 other unknowns at this point. Immediately we were pretty amp’ed to have some intense rafting. He asked all if we want to get wet and go swimming (ie: flip the raft). Vote went 3-1 with 1 abstaining, so we got our wish. 1st rapid, boom in to the drink we go. I got sucked under the eddy for what felt like a long time. A+ start to the run. Another boat picked me, and and dropped me back in our boat a big down stream.
The rest of the runs were pretty fun, getting dumped out the boat every now and then. We have one epic flip at the bottom of the one channel, which Alexis was able to grab a couple snapshots. During this flip, we also have the gopros going which result in a couple good shots. Also we got some full footage of use going through the competition run (forwards and backwards). Barnoff and Jason rescued several people as well.
Afterwards, we went to the climbing tower and Jason showed off his muscle up technique. The rest of the weekend we sampled many beers, some moonshine, and some gourmet coffees shops.
