Mr. Tim was in town on his way to California for his new job, so he had a couple days to kill.
Jimmy and I loaded up the X-Terra with a bunch of manly items and we set off up Upper Old Stage Coach for some Saturday fun.
Before we took off the dirt road to the top of one of our shuttle run spots, we stopped by the local shady Walmart and bought many discount pumpkins. We took these orange beasts to the top of the mountain and had ourselves a good old fashioned shoot out.
This was Tims first time shooting a gun, and I think he’s hooked. Jimmy did good too, nailing a couple 100+ yard shots.
After we were out of bullets, we took to the pumpkins with axes and machetes. The end result of the morning was orange goo everywhere.
Afterwards, we took off 4×4 ing in Jimmy’s adventure car, testing his new tires. We clawed our way up the mountain til we were right below the summit of Pike’s Peak. We started up a nice fire and enjoyed reheated soup at altitude. Then we continued on our way. We were forced to relocate some massive rocks in order to make it through the 4×4 road. At the end we played in a stream crossing.
A very manly weekend indeed, showing Tim how Colorado is done.
