New River – Endless Wall Shutdown

New River Again, I know there probably isn’t anything new to talk about from all the post of the New River, but here is quick summary of the weekends trip.
I drove up Friday night and camped in the car again before meeting Alex and his buddy Matt. The weather looked iffy so we head to the endless wall and the cirque to get things figured out. I warmed up on finders-keepers which was almost my hardest flash, but I pumped out from the top. We then packed up our stuff and head down cliff band as it was bound to get quite crowded there. We searched for dry rock and it was everywhere.

Alex concentrated on working pocket route. I gave it valiant toprope burn, and worked everything out but the “pocket” move. Afterwards, I climb legacy and discombulated. Both of which were very cool. The next day we headed back to the same area. I gave “Bullet in the New Sky” a s try, but messed up the onsite, but stuck the surprising dyno at the top. The rain then started and forced to an area near “quinsana.” I gave “rainy day route” and it didn’t seem like anyone had tried it for a while. Again, almost onsite, but messed up the very top again. Then I gave “quinsana” a try, but couldn’t do the pocket move on it either.

Shutdown weekend; oh well still we a good weekend outside.
